Kiln Review is a magazine of ceramics: essays, field notes, and photographs from the studio floor, the glaze shelf, and the kiln door. Each season we gather the work of potters, writers, and material researchers into a single issue.
We are not a shop and not a directory. We publish long looks at the things that are slow to explain — the discipline of throwing, the patience of a glaze, the arithmetic of a coil-built wall, the long orange wait of a firing.
Every issue is built around a single shelf: ten essays, one current issue, four sections — Vessels, Glaze, Kiln, and Studio.
